All students are required to submit a thesis in order to graduate. All students are also required to take two semesters of Thesis Research credits. There is no course based option. However, there are two thesis types that students can apply for – Technical Thesis and Research Thesis. The Technical Thesis is a non-primary research thesis that consists of secondary research and literature synthesis that addresses a compelling research question of the selected research area. The Research Thesis is a primary research thesis. Students will be required to conduct their own primary research to answer a question pertaining to their research area. All thesis topics should be discussed in depth with the advising professor.
