Yes! You are welcome to arrive in Taiwan at any time before the start of the semester. However, please be aware that the Office of International Affairs and Academics airport pickup service is only available for a limited period near the start of the semester. If you arrive early, you may be required to independently arrange transportation to campus. Also, you may be required to pay extra for your residency permit if your arrival date is technically during the previous school term. The immigration office of Taiwan requires newly arriving students to pay the previous years fees if they arrive too early. If you plan on arriving very early, be prepared to pay extra (NT1000).
