Q:What is the average duration for a M.Sc. or Ph.D degree in the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Studies?

The duration of each degree depends entirely on your study. However, it is expected that a masters degree will take 4 – 5 semesters (2 – 2.5 years) and a doctoral degree 8 – 9 semesters (4 – 4.5 years). It should be kept in mind that if an international student is accepted for a study scholarship, the total duration is 4 semesters (masters) and 8 semesters (doctorate). If a student decides to continue their degree longer than this, they will not be eligible for a scholarship for the extra semesters. For a masters degree, the maximum allowable time is 8 semesters (4 years).
