No. There is no required travel for any of the courses offered at this time, but you may be required to travel to conduct your thesis research or as a part of the Research Methods course. This is entirely dependent upon the research you are conducting, and is decided between you and your thesis supervisor. Each year there will be multiple trips organized by the Office of International Affairs and Academics to national parks, cultural centers and places of interest. Occasionally, the NRES department will organize trips for international and local students to field sites, places of ecological interest, and provide opportunities for travel as research assistants if you are inclined. Please discuss this with the respective professors once you arrive.
