【Event】Zero Waste Lifestyle As A Student Sharing
Another successful event conducted last Saturday. Graduate Students Society (GSS) collaborated with A World Project (AWP) to battle waste problem and spread zero waste lifestyle concept among students. Christina, our current Master student got invited to share her experience on Zero Waste Lifestyle as a student in Taiwan.
Her sharing talked about how to minimize waste from daily lives by using own reusable containers and utensils before leave the house to buy takeaways to reduce single use containers. Also how Taiwan government handle their waste in the country by incineration and recycling. But the main part here is that individuals who are also consumers, we all need to improve our consumption habits by consuming less and think twice before we buy or throw anything.
Following was the World Café session, which was also very relatable to the first sharing session. They invited our current postdoc and postgraduate students to be the Café managers. Each tables were equipped with different topics such as, vegetarianism, minimalism, go second-hand, e-waste recycling and composting.
